Introducing “Alchemist”
New Upholstery Series by EMKO PLACE
Lithuanian furniture and interior accessories company EMKO PLACE greets the spring with the new upholstery series “Alchemist”. It is a timeless collection of sofas, armchairs and poufs that gracefully highlights the subtle blend of modernist and traditional Japanese structures.
The collection stands out with its clean, minimalist lines and carefully balanced proportions. The soft part of the furniture is sculpted from blocky pillows resting on an oak-veneered frame. The structure features well defined lines on all sides, creating an approachable and visually pleasing aesthetic from any perspective. With its composed posture, the “Alchemist” collection brings a sense of calmness and comfort to any room, be it a private or public interior space.
Beauty and function aside, the collection is also a great example of the circular economy — everything from the concept to production is crafted in Lithuania. “Sustainability has always been a priority at EMKO PLACE, and the “Alchemist” collection is no exception: all the materials were selected from local suppliers, with longevity in mind. In addition, recycled materials were incorporated wherever possible,” – says EMKO founder Erika Markovska-Mikulskienė.
One of the notable materials used for the soft part of the collection is recycled wool made by the famous Lithuanian fabrics company “Audėjas”. Together with an oak-veneered frame, it adds a sophisticated touch and completes the look.
June 4—7, the new “Alchemist” series will internationally premiere at the IMM Cologne furniture trade show. EMKO PLACE collection will be on display at the joint stand curated by the Lithuanian Design Forum in Hall 11.2, Stand No. M-009.
