In adopting a sustainable approach to wood usage, we at EMKO incorporate wood with unique aesthetic patterns, which may not always align with conventional furniture-making standards. We simply paint it. This allows us to broaden our colour palette and utilize 95% of all purchased wood and veneer.

Local Materials, Reduced Footprint

Recognizing the significant impact of transportation on CO2 emissions, we at EMKO source 90% of our raw materials from within Europe. This commitment to local sourcing not only reduces transportation distances and minimizes our overall CO2 footprint but also supports local businesses, aligning with our values.

Flatter Boxes and Recycled Packaging

We primarily deliver our furniture unassembled, which helps to minimize packaging materials and transportation costs. The paper and cardboard used for product packaging, assembly instructions, and printing catalogs are all recycled.

We are constantly exploring new, sustainable packaging solutions and actively replacing plastic fillers with paper-based alternatives.

Values-Based Operations

At EMKO, our dedication to responsibility and sustainability extends beyond manufacturing and influences every aspect of our operations.

During the holiday season, we opt to greet customers and partners on our Facebook and Instagram platforms, while allocating a "holiday budget" to the Rimantas Kaukėnas Fund. This fund provides vital assistance to seriously ill children. Additionally, a portion of the revenue from all online store purchases is also donated to support this cause.
